Sophie began her editorial career when she formed part of the launch team for Twinkl Educational Publishing's journalism platform, Twinkl Digest. Sophie edited other writers' work and was quick to help the new product develop its editorial strategy. After just eight months, Sophie was promoted to Lead Writer and Editor of Digest, overseeing all editorial content, training writers and editors, liaising with the PR and Comms teams, and creating Digest's editorial style guide. She also played a pivotal role in curating and editing a print edition of Digest that was sent to 17,000 UK primary schools.

Since leaving Twinkl, Sophie has continued to use her editorial expertise and teaching background in the educational publishing industry. She has worked as a freelance copy editor for Discovery Education since 2024, editing a range of resources including scripts for newsreaders on Discovery's News Bites videos, reading resources to accompany articles from The Week Junior, and both fiction and non-fiction texts on the adaptive literacy program Reading Plus.

More recently, Sophie has followed her passion for literature and writing to branch out into fiction editing, providing a range of services from developmental editing to proofreading. She has recently completed full developmental edits on a romantic-comedy-fantasy novel, and an early draft of a romantic dystopian novella.
